write.learn.lead, created by the teacher-leaders of the National Writing Project (NWP), is a place to collect tools, resources, insights, and reflections by experienced teacher-leaders to support both new and continuing teacher-leaders in their work. The goal is to provide ways to jumpstart local leadership work at Writing Project sites, schools, and communities.
The core collection of materials is found in the section called Knowledge Base and was first curated in 2017 by a team of site leaders from items originally published at the old NWP.org website or in NWP publications. Since then it has expanded to include new items submitted by the network or created for other NWP sites such as Educator Innovator, The Current, or Write Now at Medium. Curators focused on identifying items that they found relevant for teachers planning professional learning for themselves, planning for professional development at schools, or managing NWP sites.
In addition to the Knowledge Base, write.learn.lead contains an archive of NWP Radio episodes and provides a place to learn about upcoming events, both in-person and online. In the future, it will house our online bookstore.
write.learn.lead is a work in progress, and we welcome your contributions and ideas. We also encourage you to sign up for NWP’s monthly newsletter, Write Now, which will alert you to new collections of materials or opportunities for educators.
